YHSHUAH’s Command…

“…HE THAT BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED; but he that believeth not shall be damned…” -Mark 16:16

YHSHUAH’s Command

After the resurrection, YHSHUAH Commanded the Apostles,

“…HE THAT BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED; but he that believeth not shall be damned…” -Mark 16:16

Many today have lost the importance and significance in being baptized. The modern church created traditions that have removed the power of being buried with Christ. The importance of being resurected in YHSHUAH.

In Acts of the Apostles, Peter instructs a large crowd during the festivity of Pentecost to Repent, be baptized in the Name of YHSHUAH, and to receive the Holy Ghost!(Acts 2:38) But traditions today have completely removed the necessity of baptism as it not being part of the Plan Of God Unto Salvation.

Historically, it was not so. It’s not until recent decades that through the proliferation of tel-evangelist have the new gospel, not that there is a new gospel, has been leading the many to the Gates of hell.

What does The Apostle Paul Say?

In The letter of Paul to the Colossians, Paul, The Apostle of Christ to the gentiles or those not of Israel, explains it as follows:

“BEWARE LEST ANY MAN SPOIL YOU THROUGH PHILOSOPHY AND VAIN DECEIT, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, AND NOT AFTER CHRIST. FOR IN HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY. And ye are COMPLETE IN HIM, which is the head of all principality and power:” -Colossians 2:8-10

The Apostle Paul Continues…

“IN WHOM ALSO YE ARE CIRCUMCISED WITH THE CIRCUMCISION MADE WITHOUT HANDS, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh BY THE CIRCUMCISION OF CHRIST: BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. AND YOU, BEING DEAD IN YOUR SINS AND THE UNCIRCUMCISION OF YOUR FLESH, HATH HE QUICKENED TOGETHER WITH HIM, having forgiven you all trespasses; BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES THAT WAS AGAINST US, WHICH WAS CONTRARY TO US, AND TOOK IT OUT OF THE WAY, NAILING IT TO HIS CROSS; And having spoiled principalities and powers, HE MADE A SHEW OF THEM OPENLY, TRIUMPHING OVER THEM IN IT.” -Colossians 2:11-15

The Apostle Paul, explicitly explains the necessity of Baptism not for a good conscience as the modern church has mistakenly adopted but rather to explain the POWER OF THE BURIAL WITH CHRIST IN BAPTISM! How else could you be buried with MASHIACH(Christ)?

The Apostle Peter also explains and adds…

“THE LIKE FIGURE WHEREUNTO EVEN BAPTISM DOTH ALSO NOW SAVE US (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of YHSHUAH HA MASHIACH(Jesus Christ):” -1 Peter 3:22

So, Does Scripture teach that baptism is a requirement for salvation?

  1. YHSHUAH HA MASHIACH said that baptism was a requirement.
  2. The Apostle PAUL taught thousands that baptism was a requirement.
  3. The Apostle Peter taught thousands that baptism was a requirement.
  4. EVERY SINGLE APOSTLE TAUGHT THAT WATER BAPTISM WAS A NECESSITY FOR CONVERSION, A NECESSITY FOR SALVATION.

Acts 2:41 says, “THEN THEY THAT GLADLY RECEIVED HIS WORD WERE BAPTIZED: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

While you or others may choose to use the Name Jesus, I simply choose to use the Name YHSHUAH because I believe that names do not change. Specially if they are in Hebrew as they tend to have a meaningful meaning. YHSHUAH means YHWH IS SALVATION or YHWH SAVES.)
